It’s the weekend or Sunday again and so, as always, in the early hours of the morning, here’s a little review of some of the news from the past few days. Certainly, around February 1st, many readers took notice. Because on that date Samsung presented its series of Galaxy S23. As a premiere this time, all three devices, the S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra, are all equipped with a Qualcomm SoC.

In recent years, we have always received the Exynos variants of the Galaxy S flagships in Europe. It will be different in 2023 and Samsung has even secured a version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with a slightly higher clock. Let’s see how the new S23 models will do on the market.

There is also news from the realm of subscriptions in social networks. Twitter Blue can now also be booked in Germany. In addition, Instagram is apparently also considering such a fee-based verification model.

And while we’re on the subject of new subscriptions: ChatGPT Plus has been launched. Open AI wants to use this to finance its AI tools, because up to now you have been burning money with them. Pay $20 a month to get priority access to ChatGPT, experience faster response times, and experience priority access to new features and improvements.

I’m already using it myself: LibreOffice 7.5 is now available. I’m always happy to recommend the free office suite, because I think the included programs and functions are more than enough for home use.

Caschy also published his review of the 2nd generation Apple HomePod this week. If you’re in the Apple ecosystem, then the smart speaker can definitely be worth it. Nothing, in turn, has announced the release of its second smartphone for 2023. This should rather go into the premium corner.

Last Sunday, Caschy’s review of the Qingping thermometer appeared here in the blog. The HomeKit sensor can also come up with thread.

Of course, as always, all that remains for me to do on behalf of the whole team is to wish you a relaxing rest of the Sunday. For tomorrow I wish all readers a pleasant start into the week! Caschy, Benny, Olli, Felix and I are happy if you continue to look into the blog and maybe even leave a comment or two. There will be many more articles to read here throughout the day. Now, of course, the ten most read articles of the last week follow here.
