With the presence of all its officials, PRO legislators, and the heads of radicalism and socialism from La Plata, Mayor Julio Garro set the guidelines for 2023, facing what will be a purely electoral year where he will go for his third term in the city.

During the meeting, Garro reviewed the main milestones of his management, while he advanced some of the works and measures planned for this year in terms of infrastructure, connectivity, road safety and job creation. “How good to meet once again to start thinking about what this year is going to be. That it is not another year. I dare to say that it is the most important in recent decades,” he began by saying, adding: “Once More, the people of La Plata are going to choose what they want for our city. Which path are they going to take: if the path of improvisation and everything is worth it, or the path where the fights take place until the end”.

“Because that is what we have done for the last seven years. We, all together, turned the history of the city upside down. With the vote of confidence of the people, we changed destiny. We did it in 2015 and we ratified our commitment in 2019 he continued.

Accompanied by members of the cabinet, councilors, legislators and members of all the forces that are part of the local Juntos coalition, the Mayor also called on officials to work as a team to continue improving the quality of life of the residents. “The people of La Plata saw that we are made of much more than words. We are made of values, honesty and commitment. And that is seen in each of the works that we carry out in the neighborhoods to unite the city and bring solutions to the demands of the people,” the president said.

Garro added: “We are all united by not going back. We are united by the vision of the city. That makes us here today, together. That is why I want to tell you that I am going to do everything in my power so that Juntos continues driving the destinies of the city, which is what the neighbors expect”.

Finally, he harangued those present to “go out every day to talk to people, let’s tell everything we are doing and what we want to carry out for our city. Let’s not give away the place we have. The people of La Plata need us united, working so that the past does not return”.

At the meeting, which took place in the modern facilities of the hotel howard johnson of La Plata, the referents and party presidents of the spaces that make up the alliance of Together took the floor. In that sense, Pablo Nicoletti President of the UCR La Plata, stressed: “No one wants to look back, the people of La Plata do not want to look back. We have to take care of the small payment, and for that we have a strategy that is the unity of Together.”

Regarding the achievements of the management, he valued: “Today the climate of free entrepreneurship is different. We see how businesses and investments flourish, that has transformed the city.”

For his part, Emiliano Fernandezfrom the Socialist Party, said: “We have two very big responsibilities, one is to continue building Together in La Plata, with the unity and diversity that characterizes it. This responsibility is based on daily management, which has virtues and I am sure it can be better still”.

“The second objective that we have to achieve is not to return to the past; if Juntos fails, the past returns. The past that the flood cost us in 2013, no person from La Plata can forget about that,” he added.

While, Ignacio Salaberrenfrom Peronismo Republicano, remarked: “A very important electoral year is coming, beyond the leadership that is being defined, it is important to highlight the work of summoning all sectors to the table.”

“Julio Garro has been doing it for several years, it is his responsibility to summon all sectors to work because, based on that, we are going to avoid going back to the past, prevent the FdT from returning, we want him to leave the Province and the Nation “he assured.

Besides, emilio rodriguezpresident of the La Plata Civic Coalition, considered that “ten years ago this city went through one of its worst moments, and as he says (Mauricio) Macri, it no longer floods; Now we have the enormous challenge of continuing to deepen the change that this city began in 2015, and revalidated in 2019. Later it will be seen with which actors and in what way. The most important thing is that we are guarantors of the unity of Juntos”.
