Will Zamara Machuca (a character from the soap opera ‘Princesas’) return to television?

Yes! It is supposed to be in ‘Brujas’, which is the second part of the soap opera, but there is no release date yet. In any case, you will see a more vengeful Zamara, ha ha ha.

Throughout your career you have played tough characters, have you had to go through any kind of violence?

As a woman, living in such a macho country, yes, of course I have suffered violence in many ways. When you go out into the street you come across people so bitter that they yell terrible things at you. I feel very insecure when I go out.

Andrea, you recently played the role of a sexually abused woman in the play ‘Jauría’, was it very difficult to do?

Yes of course. It was super strong because the text is real, it is everything that was said in the trial. It is repeating over and over again everything that happened to her that was super strong. In addition, the level of tension that must be sustained throughout the work tires, costs, and hurts. That was what I felt, a lot of pain.

The work 'Jauría' was based on the statements that the complainant and the defendants made in the trial of 'La Manada', for the acts of group rape that occurred during the Sanfermines on July 6, 2016, in Pamplona, Spain. Photo: Facebook Andrea Luna.

Have you ever forgiven an infidelity? Would you?

No and I definitely would not forgive an infidelity.

You are jealous?

It really depends on how secure you are. On some occasions I have felt jealous, on others not. It depends on how much trust there is or how insecure I feel.

What kind of men do you like?

Honest, sincere people who are consistent with what they want, who lead a healthy life and are not toxic.

Do you want to be a mom?

I don’t know, it’s not something that I have contemplated. I’m not that excited either, so no. Not yet.

If you weren’t an actress, what would you do?

I am a communicator, specialized in Journalism, so I love to write. Now I’m studying Dramaturgy, for example. So I probably would have dedicated myself to writing or dancing, which is also something I’m passionate about.

You have also ventured into music, what other genres would you interpret?

Yes, this year I’m going to release four more songs. I have two invitations from two singers and two as a soloist. I like latin, pop and ballads.

Are you summer or winter?

I stay 100% with the summer. The sun puts me in a good mood and I love to walk lightly, ha ha ha. I like the sea and spending seasons on the beach.

Have you been harassed on social media?

Yes of course. Unfortunately, if you are a woman and a public figure, they will always comment on things and send photos. We must not normalize this, we must denounce it.

Is ‘A retreat to fall in love’ the first film co-produced abroad in which you take part?

Yes and I am super happy for the opportunity that my director Jesús Álvarez has given me. I know how difficult it has been to get the movie off the ground. I am the protagonist and I play Lucía. It opens in February!

Do Andrea Luna and Lucía look alike?

Okay, yes. Lucía is super-enamored and she believes that she has found the right man. That has happened to me too, you believe a lot in love and you end up being disappointed.
