iPhone users can now order from Domino’s Pizza directly with Apple CarPlay. They have the option of choosing a pre-selected or recently placed order on the vehicle’s infotainment screen. The functionality is currently confined to the United States.

Apple CarPlay is an in-vehicle version of iOS optimized for cars. Calls, routes, music, Siri… It offers a multitude of features on the vehicle’s infotainment screen. Recently, it is even possible to pay for gas directly in the car thanks to Apple CarPlay. The manufacturer also thought of its most greedy users by establishing a partnership with Domino’s Pizza.

US customers can now order through the in-vehicle operating system. It is however not possible to select trims in the car. To launch the command, you must download the Domino’s iOS application and then open it on CarPlay. You then have two options. The first allows you to place an order already saved in your profile or redo an order recently placed.

The second option simply allows you to order by phone. The application also gives you the possibility of locating nearby stores and monitoring the progress of your order. If you couple the order in the passenger compartment with the Carside Delivery option, you can pick up your pizza without leaving your vehicle.

Domino’s is proud to be the first major pizza delivery chain to enter CarPlay. “We know how frustrating it can be to wait in line just to place an order. The Domino’s app on CarPlay is a great alternative to this, as customers always have the option of staying in their car and can place an order wherever they are,” welcomes Christopher Thomas-Moore, in charge of digital at Domino’s.
