Aang will come back to life in flesh and blood. After M. Night Shyamalan’s film in 2010, which did not do well enough to have the expected sequels, Netflix is ​​sticking to the “live action” adaptation of the famous anime Avatar: The Last Airbender.

We discover today the first official images and the face of the new Aang in this first teaser unveiled by the streamer, which announces in passing a broadcast in 2024, without further details. So it’s not for tomorrow!

Au casting, Gordon Cormier will play Aang while Tamlyn Tomita will play Yukari. Finally, Lost alum Daniel Dae Kim will play the villainous Lord Ozai of the Fire Tribe.

Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow, Nikita) is the showrunner. At his side, Dan Lin (La Grande Aventure Lego, Aladdin) and Lindsey Liberatore (Walker) from Rideback are executive producing, as is Michael Goi (Swamp Thing, American Horror Story).

Series Avatar is directed by Jabbar Raisani and Jet Wilkinson.
