Cuban rapper Bian Oscar Rodríguez Gala, known as THE B, former member of the now disintegrated duo Los Aldeanos, recalled that there are artists from inside and outside the island who cannot sing in Cuba.

“It’s a bitch to know that I don’t know what festival is held in Cuba, to which I have not given importance because it does not have it because in Cuba there is a dictatorship and serious problems to pay attention to this circus, but let’s remember that there are Cuban artists, inside and outside the island, that we cannot sing there. There are artists in prison for simply creating,” the singer wrote in an Instagram story.

The former member of Los Aldeanos gained notoriety in Cuba for the content of the opposition and the harshness of his message about the situation in the country, where he was censored.

Now her words remind episodes where the Cuban artists themselves, residents inside or outside the country, have not been able to sing to his people.

Some of the recent events include the censorship of the Cuban singer and composer Emilio Frías, director of the El Niño y la Verdad orchestra.

During a concert in Havana, Emilio Frías’ audio was turned off to prevent me from singing his theme song “Change”.

Apparently, the scene has been repeated at the Santa María Musica Fest where reggaeton singer Lenier Mesa was not allowed to take the stage, whom many reproached him for having gone to the island despite having said on previous occasions that he was prevented from doing so.
