Oberhausen.
Speeding drivers and other traffic offenders bring the city of Oberhausen millions in revenue every year: the figures for 2022.

In 2022, the city of Oberhausen issued around 41,500 fines for administrative offenses in moving traffic. The corresponding income (fines, fees, costs of the procedure) amounted to around 6.9 million euros last year.

The city informed the editors at the request. A large part of this income is due to the nine stationary speed cameras and the additional mobile speed cameras used. However, an exact breakdown is technically not possible, explains the administration.

Our most recent report on speed camera locations in the city showed that Oberhausen ranked 15th in a nationwide comparison of 40 major cities when it came to speed camera density in the city. In the Ruhr area, only Gelsenkirchen is more likely to be flashed.
