24 young musicians were honored by the Friends of the District Music School in a prizewinners’ concert. Here, the young talents gave samples of their competition programs for the best. All 14 participants achieved first prizes in the regional competition “Jugend musiziert”, as the Bamberg district office reported in a press release.

Of the ten participants in the BBMV “Concertino” competition, eight received the award of district winners in their age groups; in the state competition, six musicians were chosen as state winners.

They received a letter of appreciation and a voucher for music from the hands of the 1st chairman of the association, District Administrator Johann Kalb, and the 2nd chairman, Thomas Ochs.

District Administrator Johann Kalb and the artistic and educational director Josef Gentil emphasized the outstanding achievements of the young musicians in their speeches. Combined with words of thanks, they emphasized the above-average commitment of the music teachers and parents, who managed many additional hours and trips to the rehearsals and competitions to prepare for the competition.

At the end of the concert, the representative of the market town of Burgebrach, Deputy Mayor Peter Pfohlmann, invited to a small reception at which children, parents and teachers reviewed their experiences from the competitions.
