With the Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Overwatch 2 is gearing up to release a dating sim game mode and more to mark the occasion.

The first Overwatch game firmly established the hero-shooter’s seasonal event schedule, and Overwatch 2 has thus far stuck to the original game’s seasonal events. However, it looks like Overwatch 2 is starting to branch out a bit by introducing a Valentine’s Day event.

Blizzard is releasing an Overwatch 2 dating sim on February 14

While the original Overwatch didn’t have many Valentine’s events, Overwatch 2 goes all out. From February 13 to February 28, Overwatch 2 players will be able to try the Loverwatch Dating Simulation, a non-canonical text-based game mode in which players can attempt to romance Mercy or Genji with the help of a Hanzo Cupid.

Anyone who manages to unlock the secret ending will be rewarded with a special Game Highlight. Blizzard stressed that Loverwatch’s dating sim is non-canon, in case anyone was wondering. Those interested will be able to check it through a web browser once it is available, since Overwatch 2 will not be playable in the game itself.

The Ultimate Valentine Event will run from February 14-28 with a limited-time Hanzo 4v4 mode and special support challenges that will allow players to earn new skins and rewards. As of this writing, no details on the Hanzo gameplay have been revealed, but with Overwatch 2’s Valentine’s event kicking off next week, fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out what’s in store for them. wait.

Meanwhile, anyone who logs into Overwatch 2 during the Valentine’s event will be able to get a free Cupid Hanzo skin.
