Microsoft Teams gets a new function. With “Snapchat Lenses” are said to be over 20 of the most popular Snapchat-Filter find their way into the Office software. Microsoft is already building on the integration of the filters existing software from snapchat on. The social media platform once ran its own Desktop-App, which allowed Lenses to be used for third-party video calling services. However, the app was discontinued earlier this year.
This is how the filters can be activated
The Snapchat Lenses are built right into Teams, it will no additional updates or apps required. If you want to try the filters, click in the area of the Video effect Click “More Video Effects” and then click the “Filter” option. Here the category “Snapchat” can be selected and finally the appropriate mask can be selected.

Blocking of the filters possible
If you don’t necessarily want to get a chicken put on your head by your colleagues, you can of course use the Snapchat Lenses To block. This is possible for administrators and guests.
Microsoft promises that more Snapchat filters will be added in the future. The feature is now available worldwide – but only for subscribers of Teams for Work. The brand new Teams version, which can only be tested at the moment, also has to do without Snapchat Lenses for the time being. It will be taken care of at the end of the year, according to the group.
