Chicago (USA), Apr 19 (EFE).- The Spanish golfer Carlota Ciganda, who is in The Woodlands (Texas) to play the Chevron championship, acknowledged this Wednesday that she dreams of playing the next Solheim Cup, although she highlighted that “there are many months left” and that he is not “obsessed”.

“The ‘big ones’ are always important, they are more demanding courses, you have to play good golf. There is that pressure to do well. The better I play, the captains see that you can withstand that pressure better. Solheim is months away, I have it in my head, but it doesn’t obsess me right now either”, said Ciganda.

“Hopefully I can be there representing Europe, and in Spain that I like so much,” he added.

The Solheim Cup is a golf tournament that measures a European team against one from the United States in a ‘match play’ format.

This year, it will be held from September 22 to 24 at Finca Cortesin Costa del Sol, in Andalusia.

On a personal level, Ciganda said that he feels fit and reported that he recently changed nutritionists to try to do all the necessary work “so that things turn out well.”
