Samsung Electronics will also be presenting new home appliances again at CES 2023 in Las Vegas in January. This will also include the Bespoke Refrigerator Family Hub Plus. That is a refrigerator from the Bespoke series, which is equipped with a very large touchscreen. The latter has a diagonal of 32 inches and has a resolution of 1080p (Full HD). Not so few years ago, this size would have been abused as a television.
According to Samsung, a larger screen is used because this is what customers want. Larger and larger screens are required here – not only in the TV and monitor segment. The Family Hub has also been updated. Samsung TV Plus can now also be used directly on the refrigerator. Some of you probably know it from the company’s televisions. The South Koreans offer various TV channels as a stream. Also works on the Bespoke Refrigerator Family Hub Plus in Picture-in-Picture mode.
For example, you can search for recipes on the fridge screen and at the same time play a music station or control other devices remotely. The 32-inch screen is optimized for videos in portrait format, which are now (unfortunately?) also becoming more fashionable on YouTube. There’s also the Bespoke Atelier app, which you can use to turn the fridge screen into a kind of digital picture frame. He then displays selected artworks.
Via SmartThings you can monitor and control other devices on the fridge via a widget and use other services. Samsung states that the fridge can basically be used perfectly as an IoT hub. Links to OneDrive or Google Photos are also included in the device’s repertoire. In the USA it will also be possible to use the refrigerator via “Amazon Your Essentials” products.
