But there are enough examples of book adaptations that also work excellently as a cinema film or series. Dune, Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon, Eberhofer Franz and The Witcher, for example, have been convincing lately. The latter series on Netflix recently got a spin off donated. The Witcher Blood Origin on Netflix – Victim of Review Bombing?

While reviews from the press are mostly mediocre, the verdict from fans and audiences seems downright scathing. The Witcher Blood Origin Apparently it doesn’t meet the taste of the viewers in any way. However, if you take a closer look at the individual ratings, you will learn another reason for the frustration of the fans.

Apparently there’s still a lot of disappointment over Henry Cavill’s departure from the main series. In addition to his role as a witch, the British actor has also lost his job as Superman. This leads to bad reviews of the spin-off, which Henry Cavill has nothing to do with, however. The review bombing of The Witcher Blood Origin should be just a glimpse of what producers can expect when the new season of The Witcher, starring Liam Hemsworth, arrives.
