Algeria is preparing to host the 2022 African Nations Championship. Everything is ready to host the continental football event, from January 13 to February 4, 2023, in particular with regard to stadiums and infrastructure.
A few days weeks before the start of the tournament, our country is fine-tuning preparations for the opening ceremony. Several emblematic figures should be present to attend. We quote in particular the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, and that of CAF, Patrice Motsepe. Regarding the identity of the singers who will host the ceremony, only one has been disclosed. This is the famous Algerian rapper Soolking.
What will Soolking sing?
Indeed, Soolking confirmed to the Arabic-speaking media “Ennahar” his presence for the opening ceremony of CHAN-2022. The latter will take place on January 13 at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki.
The famous Algerian rapper also entrusted to sing three songs, among others the tube “Suavemente” which achieved a great success.
While waiting for the identity of the other singers to be revealed, the opening ceremony certainly promises to be grandiose.
Infantino will indeed be present
In addition, FIFA President Gianni Infantino will indeed be present at the opening ceremony. This was confirmed by the chairman of the CHAN commission, Rachid Oukali last Friday on national radio. Ditto for the president of CAF, Patrice Motsepe.
It should be recalled that the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaâ, tried to sabotage Infantino’s visit to Algiers to attend the said event. Indeed, he invited him to attend the draw for the 2022 Club World Cup in Rabat, which coincides with the date of the opening ceremony of CHAN 2022 in Algeria, on January 13.
