For his official visit to France, King Charles III is organizing a state dinner at the Palace of Versailles this Wednesday, September 20. Among the prestigious guests, many celebrities were present.

The father of Princes William and Harry elegantly reigns over the United Kingdom with his wife Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles. His official visit to France was initially planned for the start of the year but had to be postponed due to protests. But this inconvenience did not prevent the royal couple from treading the Parisian cobblestones who landed at Orly airport this Wednesday, September 20. They will visit, mainly in the company of Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron with whom they are very close, French monuments such as the Arc de Triomphe or the construction site of Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris but also plan to go to Bordeaux. They came from all over the world to share a meal with King Charles III. On the occasion of his official visit to France, the British monarch receives around 150 people around his table. As his mother Elizabeth II did in 1957 after her coronation, he asked to receive his prestigious guests in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. On the menu for this dinner, dishes concocted by four great French chefs but also an audience of celebrities! King Charles III and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles were welcomed on the red carpet by President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron. Hugh Grant traveled with his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein to attend the event. Singer Mick Jagger was also there with his partner Melanie Hamrick. Carole Bouquet, French actress, was there as well as Charlotte Gainsbourg, who did not seem to be accompanied by her husband Yvan Attal. Emma Mackey, star of the series Sex Education also posed in front of the photographers. The actor Guillaume Gallienne, the ex-footballer and world champion Patrick Vieira and the host Stéphane Bern were also on the guest list.

Elegant looks for King Charles III’s dinner
In terms of looks, elegance and sobriety were the watchwords of the evening. Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles and French First Lady Brigitte Macron matched in navy blue dresses. They looked very sophisticated on the arms of their husbands, King Charles III and President Emmanuel Macron, both dressed in tuxedos. The dress code must have had black as the color since most of the guests wore it. This is the case of Emma Mackey who showed herself perched on high heels in a tight dress but also of Charlotte Gainsbourg who chose an outfit which covered her neck but revealed her sublime legs. Colorful looks were still noticed but they were rare, French chic being in the spotlight!
