China and Brazil want to expand their relations further. “I am ready to work with you to strategically open a new era and future for China-Brazil relations,” Chinese President Xi Jinping said at a meeting with his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula da, according to Chinese state broadcaster CCTV today Silva in Beijing.

Lula said the trip to China is his first since taking office outside of America, reflecting the “special importance” of the two countries’ relations. “No one will stop Brazil from improving its relations with China,” Lula said. According to the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China and Brazil signed 15 agreements in the fields of trade, finance, space and science.

Another topic was the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine. It was agreed that dialogue and negotiations are the only possible way to solve the crisis, it said.
