Google announced new features for its Chrome browser in December. It said it would add new Chrome performance settings to keep tabs running smoothly and extend a device’s battery life when it’s running low.
For first-time users, the performance area can already be found in the Chrome settings. However, the setting options are still hidden behind the flags in the final version of the browser. Behind the following addresses are the efficiency switches, which must be activated if you want to try it out.

Google Chrome allows adjusting some parameters in an experimental area. How to get in: Enter chrome:flags in the address line of the browser and confirm with Enter. Values that are active after restarting Google Chrome can be changed in the interface that now appears. Experiments can be searched in a search field. The area to the right of the “Reset all to default” search field is also important here. If something does not work as desired after making changes, you can completely undo the changes to the experimental settings here.

The new feature the memory saving mode According to Google, it is particularly useful when users are running other intensive applications, e.g. such as editing family videos or playing games. Inactive tabs are reloaded when users need them. When users are surfing the web with Chrome and their device’s battery level reaches 20%, Chrome will also optionally limit background activity and visual effects for websites with animations and videos to save battery.
