CDMX.- Cirque Música Querida, The Official Celebration of Juan Gabriel demonstrated that the legacy of “Divo de Juárez” is still more alive than ever, after reaching its 100th performance at the Teatro San Rafael.

Daniela Romo was in charge of unveiling the plaque that commemorates the first hundred functions that pay tribute to the interpreter of “Hasta Que Te Conocí”.

Romo, 63, enjoyed the staging that also included live mariachi to celebrate.

“This theater is very important to me. I want to thank you for supporting it, this is sacred and we thank you for not leaving it and not letting it go,” said the interpreter of “Yo No Te Pido La Luna” as she knelt down to send a kiss to the floor

Producer Morris Gilbert was the first to take the stage to congratulate the cast for the effort and work they have put in since they premiered in October last year.

“There are artists from more than eight countries giving their all. The feeling is incredible because it seems like we premiered yesterday. We are happy that they join us tonight,” Gilbert said.

Produced by Stephen Cook, president and founder of TCG Entertainment and Cirque Música, the Cirque Música Querida production is led by Antoinette DiPietropolo as director and choreographer and Edgar Ibarra in musical direction.

“This show has made me enjoy, enjoy and cry, and I ask you not to leave it, because there is great talent,” Romo asked those present.

To close with a flourish and at the request of the public, Romo sang “De Mi Enamórate”, a song composed by Juan Gabriel that she became a success.
