MEXICO CITY (apro).– Movimiento Ciudadano filed a complaint with the National Electoral Institute (INE) against Morena’s internal process to elect its candidate for the Presidency of the Republic for 2024.

This appeal is added to the challenge that the same party presented before the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judiciary (TEPJF) to declare this process illegal.

The complaint was presented by the coordinator of the MC Parliamentary Group in the Chamber of Deputies, Jorge Álvarez Máynez, and the deputy Salomón Chertorivski Woldenberg.

Morena and Adán Augusto López, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon, Ricardo Monreal Ávila, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Alfonso Durazo Montaño were reported to the INE.

The complaint requests the INE to investigate, monitor and, where appropriate, penalize the expenses incurred by the applicants, as well as any candidate selection process.

In the same way, precautionary measures are required so that the accused refrain, immediately, from attending, organizing and participating in events of this nature, as well as not going to the “informative assemblies” whose purpose is to position them in advance. and improper before the electorate.

The demand is added to those already presented by the Party of the Democratic Revolution and the PAN senator Kenia López Rabadán.
