The Belgian national team will have to do without Thierry Henry in the future. As the President of the Football Association Peter Bossaert announced at a press conference, the former world-class striker will not be part of the coaching team of Domenico Tedesco, who was presented today. Until the end, Henry acted as an assistant to Tedesco’s predecessor, Roberto Martínez.

It was unclear whether this would also be the case under the former Leipzig coach, after all the Frenchman had applied for the post of head coach himself. Bossaert also confirmed that he had discussed the post with Henry, but ultimately chose Tedesco. The German trainer is supposed to prepare the Red Devils for the EM 2024, but without Henry’s support.
