Cora Schumacher spoke openly in an interview about the time after her divorce and her current single life.
In an interview with the “Bild” newspaper, Cora Schumacher, 46, described her divorce from Ralf Schumacher, 48, as a very drastic experience in her life. “For me, my divorce was zero hour,” she explains. Suddenly she had to learn to walk again and find herself again. “It was hard, but it also made me a strong woman.”
Cora Schumacher: “Sometimes I just feel sad”
Everything she stands for today and everything she owns “I created myself,” explains Cora Schumacher proudly and describes herself as an “accountant, property manager, housewife, gardener, television personality, influencer and mom.” Nevertheless, she is not always strong. “Sometimes I just feel sad and vulnerable. The nasty comments about me on social media from people who don’t even know me don’t leave me unscathed.” For her, her appearance is a kind of protective wall “that I hide behind.”
Don’t be afraid of being alone
When it comes to past relationships, she “went wrong several times,” says the TV celebrity. But she learned from her mistakes and now knows what and who is good for her. The single woman emphasizes that she is no longer afraid of being alone and would rather stay alone before getting involved in something half-hearted. She enjoys the time in her garden and with friends and prefers to continue working “on the Cora that I always wanted to be and I’m on the right track.”
However, this doesn’t mean that she doesn’t want “a great partner” at her side, adds Cora Schumacher. “Even strong women sometimes need a shoulder to lean on.” However, she is a tough nut to crack. “My heart is not easy to crack.”
Cora Schumacher and former Formula 1 racing driver Ralf Schumacher married in 2001 and divorced in 2015. The two have a son, David Schumacher, 21, who works as a racing driver.
