Mexico City.- In the last two weeks, 62,242 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered; 392 deaths and hospital occupancy grew 3 percentage points.
On December 20, 2022, the accumulated cases of this virus amounted to 7 million 190 thousand 702; while for January 3, the accumulated cases increased to 7 million 252 thousand 944.
The number of deaths accumulated by Covid 19 two weeks ago totaled 330,805; while this week the number of accumulated deaths reached 331,197.
The figures for December 20 indicated that hospital occupancy in general beds was 4 percent, the same percentage that had been registered three previous weeks.
For this January 3, 2023, the hospital occupancy of general beds is 7 percent.
Active cases are also on the rise. On January 20, 2022, 30,752 assets were registered. This January 3 there are 38 thousand 293.
According to the Ministry of Health, vaccination coverage is 84 percent in all population segments.
By age groups, it reaches 91 percent in people over 18 years of age; 64 percent in adolescents; and 60 percent in children from five to 11 years.
