Thanks to the TV series “The Last of Us” and the movie “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”, video game adaptations are back in fashion. The US streaming service wants these successes Peacock connect – with Twisted Metal.
This is a vehicle combat game that is a first for 1995 has appeared. Who now thinks of the multiplayer mode of Mario Kart: Something like that, only more violent. Here’s the first teaser for the series:
Anyone who is happy at the wheel of his life is Anthony Mackie, the current Captain America in Disney’s Marvel Universe. His character on the show is described as “a talkative misfit who is offered a chance at a better life.”
Sweet Tooth is of course there
It’s still in the teaser Sweet Tooth to see. The iconic killer clown with his ice cream truck became the mascot of the games series and also adorns the covers of most games.
In the games you choose a vehicle to destroy the other vehicles in a demolition derby. They are equipped with machine guns. Other weapons can be picked up in the arenas, such as missiles and mines.
Not much is known about the plot of the series, except that Mackie’s character will bring a mysterious delivery through the post-apocalyptic wasteland. If this Twisted Metal Tournament from the video game flows into the plot, or whether the game only provides the template for the characters and their vehicles, you will find out at the latest when the series appears.
In the US it is on July 27th so far, on the streaming service Peacock. Peacock is not available in Austria. It is not yet known whether the series will therefore be available on other streaming services in this country.
