Due to a defective signal box, no trains stop at Bochum Central Station on Tuesday morning. The disruption means that no train journeys are possible in the area of Bochum Central Station, said a railway spokesman when asked.
As the train announced, there are delays and partial cancellations between Witten Hauptbahnhof and Essen Hauptbahnhof. The trains stop at the next station and wait.
- RE 1 (RRX), RE 6 (RRX): trains are diverted between Essen Hbf and Dortmund Hbf in both directions. All intermediate stops are omitted. Substitute stops: Gelsenkirchen Hbf and Herne.
- The trains of the lines RE 16 and RB 40 from Hagen Hbf end and begin in Witten Hbf.
According to the spokesman, long-distance traffic will be diverted accordingly. He couldn’t say how long the disruption is expected to last. (red/dpa)
