Day one after the DSDS showdown!

The 20th DSDS final rose on Saturday. Pop Titan started on Sunday Dieter Bohlen (69) already his Germany tour in the Berlin Max-Schmeling-Halle. The posters loudly announced “The greatest comeback of all time”. But could Bohlen keep that?

There was no rush for tickets beforehand. Many places were still available in advance sales a few days ago.

Already at the dress rehearsal in the afternoon, Bohlen had raved on stage about how MEGA was the rating of the DSDS final (2.35 million viewers). While there was excellent catering backstage in the hall (including Kaiserschmarrn with plums), the fans had to be content with home cooking such as bockwurst (3.60 euros) or boulette (4.20 euros) in the evening. But at least the roll was included.

Speaking of rolls, the shirts (30 euros) and sweaters (50 euros) with Bohlen’s likeness sold at the fan article stand like hotcakes. Before Bohlen entered the stage, he was allowed the newly crowned DSDS winner Sem Eisinger (29) sing two songs.

After the Ginuwine cover “Pony” he performed his first own winning song “Don’t let me go” and received a lot of “encore” calls.

Visibly moved, Sem explained: “For me, this is a start into a new world, a dream world. I’m enjoying this so much right now. Now the question is: can I play another number?” But after a brief consultation with the director of the evening, it was clear – he wasn’t allowed to.

Instead, Dieter Bohlen stormed the stage with a six-piece backing band and an unnamed co-singer – who supported Bohlen mainly with the refrains. Even with the first number, the Modern Talking classic “Atlantis is calling”, the almost sold-out hall could not be held. The 4,200 or so spectators jumped off their chairs and celebrated “their” Dieter.

After each number, he thanked him politely with funny anecdotes from his decades-long career. Of course, he also commented on the jury Zoff Katja Krasavice (26) at DSDS.

Bohlen revealed: “You must have seen, in the last three live shows, I was a bit tense, I admit it. I’ll be honest: I wanted to finish this thing without any stress. I never said anything again either. I just didn’t want any stress. RTL also wanted to rock the thing somehow to the end. Now the thing is over. I swear to you, the next jury will be nicer.”

When he wanted to know from the audience a little later: “What kind of nightmares do you have?” someone shouted: “Katja!”

Bohlen’s answer: “I swear to you on my life: I’ve never dreamed of Katja.” Otherwise, he didn’t say a word about his unloved jury colleague. Instead, he brought his buddy Pietro Lombardi (30) onto the stage and sang it with him DSDS-Winning song “Call my name”.
