This is good news for fans of this teen series which began in 2009. Vampire Diaries finally returns to the Netflix streaming platform from September 15 and in its entirety. That’s eight seasons to watch during your autumn weekends under a blanket with a good cup of hot chocolate or tea or in the evening before going to sleep. The opportunity for early fans to find their favorite heroes – or anti-heroes – and, for those who don’t know it, to discover this series which took advantage of the vein Twilight. Adapted from the series of eponymous novels written by LJ Smith, Vampire Diaries takes place in the small fictional town of Mystic Falls in Virginia and tells the story of Elena Gilbert, an ordinary teenager who finds herself immersed in the supernatural world of vampires when two brothers, Stefan and Damon Salvatore, arrive in Mystic Falls. Elena quickly finds herself caught between the two brothers, both in love with her. The series skillfully mixes romance, drama and supernatural elements, while featuring a delicious love triangle.

Elena, played by Nina Dobrev, is therefore the central character of the series, a strong and determined young woman faced with difficult choices. Over the course of the seasons of Vampire Diaries, Elena will be torn between the two Salvatore brothers, with diametrically opposed personalities. Stefan, played by Paul Wesley, a tortured and romantic vampire, fights against his thirst for blood, while Damon, played by Ian Somerhalder, an immoral and charismatic vampire, will ultimately also seek redemption. This love triangle formed between Elena, Stefan and Damon is one of the most captivating aspects of the series, although many other couples have kept viewers in suspense.
