If Dominick Drexler has his way, he will stay at FC Schalke 04 beyond the end of the season. When asked when the fans of the Royal Blues can expect news about his future, the 32-year-old says in an interview with ‘Transfermarkt.de’: “Hopefully soon. I feel very comfortable in this club and can identify with everything that belongs to Schalke.”

And further: “Because of the emotional rise, you have an incredibly close relationship with many people in the club. So I can imagine staying for a long time.” Drexler has played 14 times for Schalke in all competitions this season and was directly involved in eight goals (five goals, three assists). The contract of the veteran in the Ruhr area ends next summer.
