The coach of the Egyptian club Al-Masry, Hossam Hassan, is fired from his post. The reason ? It is quite simply for having insulted his Algerian player, Abderrahim Deghmoum in this case.

In the last game against Aswan, Al-Masry trailed three goals to one in the first half. Furious at his team’s poor performance, coach Hossam Hassan attacked everyone, especially Algerian player Abderrahim Deghmoum. And yet, the latter started the match from the substitutes’ bench.

After the match, the former ES Sétif striker complained to the management of the Egyptian club against his coach. “I am asking for the termination of my contract after what happened with coach Hossam Hassan after the last match against Aswan. He lashed out at me and lectured me with misplaced words. So, I answered him: “I am not your dog”, and to add: “I leave it up to God”. Addressed the leadership of Al-Masry.

Deghmoum’s complaint sinks Hossam Hassan

It must be said that the Algerian player’s complaint was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Indeed, the management of Al-Masy made a strong decision, dismissing the Egyptian technician, who was the subject of several complaints from his players.

“Given the overruns, unfair, inadmissible and unjustified by coach Hossam Hassan and the director of the football section Ibrahim Hassan, their insults to the club’s board of directors in front of the players during half-time and after the match against in Aswan, and given the players’ complaints of mistreatment by their coach (…) the board of directors of Al-Masry decided, unanimously, to dismiss Hossam Hassan”. Wrote the Al-Masry club on its official website.

At the latest news, the controversial coach has filed a complaint against his now ex-employer club for defamation.
