The group of companies that still commands Carlos Rosales, and which maintains Garbarino as its most emblematic name, is moving towards complete disappearance. As the decision that would end the commercial life of retail approaches, the Justice has just ruled the bankruptcy of Fiden, the financial company that was part of the conglomerate of companies under the control of the controversial businessman. Judge Fernando D’Alessandro, who is intervening in the case for the dismissals and the economic collapse of Garbarino and the companies linked to Rosales, made this decision effective through an opinion issued in recent days.

In the document, which iProfesional accessed in these hours, it was arranged for the company in question to decree “the general inhibition of assets for an indefinite period in the Real Estate and Automotive Property Registries of the Federal Capital, of the Province of Buenos Aires, Registry of Pledge Credits; National Automotive Registry; INPI Registry of Aircraft and Ships, Registry of Trademarks and Patents”.

The ruling instructs Fiden’s leadership to “make the commercial books and other documentation related to accounting available to the trustee.”

“In addition, you must present a detailed and valued statement of the assets and liabilities, with a precise indication of their composition, location, condition and encumbrances of the assets and other data necessary to properly know your assets,” it is added.

In his ruling, D’Alessandro also set the Ban on leaving the country for Rosales himself and Fiden executives María Soledad Casares and Gabriel Ignacio Rosales. The judge also established a term valid until June 29 for the financial company’s creditors to submit verification requests and their respective titles to the trustee.

Fiden was one of the less publicized legs of the group of companies owned by Rosales, who still continues to play the role of head of Garbarino as an electronics retailer but it has already “turned off” the activity of Garbarino Viajes, Compumundo and keeps the Tecnosur and Digital Fueguina plants on “stand by”, both located in the province of Tierra del Fuego.

But it is not a minor undertaking: through Fiden, Rosales exercised stock control of radios such as Continental and Estéreo-Nostalgiestations that from the judicial decision will enter into the payment processes to the creditors that D’Alessandro has.

Compumundo, Garbarino and Garbarino Viajes are today in a situation of calling creditors. The accumulated debt of the group of companies controlled by Rosales is around 20,000 million pesos.

Garbarino, in pronounced agony

After the provisions for Fiden, everything indicates that retail will also suffer a similar fate in the second half of the year.

To the debt that Rosales maintains with a large part of the 3,800 dismissed for at least two years, recently added the lack of payment of the salaries of employees with functions in the only 4 stores that the chain maintains in operation.

“Rosales stopped paying the active employees, so the whole scenario is getting more complicated every day. The dismissed and laid off, on the other hand, recently faced the attempts of the trustee linked to the legal case to remove the representative of the workers. Fortunately, the judge (Fernando D’Alessandro) did not allow it,” they told iProfessional representatives of the chain’s employees.

On the side of the branches that are still operating, the employees whose salaries were not paid are distributed among the Belgrano, Potosí and Tribunales stores, in the Federal Capital, and the Garbarino store operating in Auchan, in Sarandí.

There are around 180 employees, including administrative staff and warehouse people.. Then there are another 800 that are listed as active but have not received a peso for at least two years. The active employees who stopped receiving their salaries in these months joined our claim, “he commented to iProfessional another source linked to those fired by Rosales.

Rosales stopped paying the salaries of the only 4 Garbarino stores that are still open.

Gabriel Yapura, representative of the Garbarino Creditors’ Board, exposed in a mobilization carried out a few weeks ago by the dismissed that the employees accumulate 37 hearings in the Ministry of Labor without appearing a solution for the accumulated debts.
