Bugs are a common thing in most AAA multiplayer games, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2is no exception, as it has been plagued with a wide variety of bugs since its release.
Now God mode, invisible wall, XP, and spawn failures have had a negative impact on the game in one way or another. Sometimes developers quickly release a hotfix to address these well-documented issues.
In other cases, those same patches end up doing more harm than good. Now the players Modern Warfare 2 They have started to run into another strange bug that desperately needs the attention of the developers.
Reddit user 604WeekendWarrior has shared some screenshots of an image that surprised them upon returning to the MW2 lobby.
Instead of seeing their player character on the menu screen, the user found their soldier posed without a face, a glitch that dates back to the infamous faceless bug in Assassin’s Creed Unity. In that case, the bug was a PC-specific issue originating from certain graphics cards: “I’m not going to lie, this glitch surprised me when I got back to the lobby,” the Redditor said.
Suffice to say, it’s not the prettiest sight to suddenly find yourself under any circumstances. It’s easy to see why the player was so shocked: “That’s scary,” one user wrote in response to the Reddit post. “Zombies confirmed,” someone else in the thread quipped, poking fun at the weird graphical glitch.
So far it has not been revealed if and when this bug will receive a fix. For now though, Modern Warfare 2 players may want to be on their guard for potential scares involving Call of Duty’s Faceless Soldiers, be forewarned.
