The 4K remaster of GoldenEye 007 is back in the news, but this time only to deliver several good news to Xbox and Nintendo Switch gamers.

GoldenEye 007’s HD remaster wasn’t just an urban legend after all. After the cancellation of a project on Xbox 360, the legendary Nintendo 64 game is back in force and even takes us by surprise.

GoldenEye 007 is coming very, very soon…

It’s been a few months since we last heard from GoldenEye 007 HD. The last time was to announce a huge surprise, the integration of local multiplayer. An ideal addition for any fans who are surely looking forward to inviting guests over to their homes to relive wild, old-fashioned nights out. But fortunately, the game will not be completely bathed in its vintage juice on Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One.

On Microsoft consoles, GoldenEye Remastered will indeed be in 4K with a higher framerate, 16:9 compatibility, as well as new controls.

You will find its gameplay rich in infiltration and objectives to accomplish and of course its legendary local multiplayer mode to compete in split screen with your friends. The original experience has also been improved, with new control options (including compatibility with dual analog sticks), 16:9 resolution up to 4K on compatible consoles, and a full list of Achievements to unlock

In addition, it will appear in the Xbox Game Pass and it will be free for all owners of a digital version of Rare Replay.

The Nintendo Switch edition will not be entitled to the high definition treatment. There is a fairly simple and direct reason for this, it will be the original N64 version which will be available at no extra cost in the Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack.

No matter the creamery, GoldenEye 007 HD will be released on January 27, 2023 on Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles.
