The influencer Andrew Tate was arrested on Thursday evening together with his brother in Romania. The brothers are being investigated for human trafficking, rape and the establishment of an organized criminal group.

– This is what happens when you don’t recycle the pizza boxes, writes the Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg (19) on Twitter.

In recent days, she has been at odds with Tate, after he asked her for an email address to which he could send a bragging list of his car collection. Tate claimed he has 33 cars with “enormous emissions”.

Thunberg asked him to send the list to the fictitious email address [email protected].

The first part of the address, “smalldickenergy”, refers to a widely used internet term. It is used for people who are clearly compensating for something or other – for example a small penis.

Cigar answer

On Thursday, Tate responded to the sting from Thunberg, in a video where he smoked a fat cigar in a signal red dressing gown, and accepted two boxes of pizza from a Romanian pizza chain.

– Make sure the boxes are not recycled, he demanded as he accepted the boxes. He also called cigar smoke “greenhouse gases”.

According to the Romanian media, the authorities in Romania must have waited for nine months for the brothers to return to Romania at the same time. They are both often abroad.

Sources in the police inform the Romanian newspaper Gândul that the action against Tate was initiated, among other things, on the basis of posts in social media.

The pizza track

It is therefore speculated whether Tate’s Twitter video – and specifically the pizza box – may have exposed him, it is speculated

– The Romanian authorities needed proof that Andrew Tate was in the country, so they regularly used his posts on social media, writes lawyer Alejandra Caraballo on Twitter.

In the video, Tate gets pizza delivered from what is supposed to be a Romanian pizza chain. Which allegedly revealed to the police that he was in the country.

TV 2 has previously featured Tate, who with the nickname “King of toxic masculinity” has made a big splash with controversial deals. This summer he was banned from TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

The former kickboxer, who has 3.4 million followers on Twitter, recently had his account reopened after Elon Musk took over the company.

In 2016, he took part in British Big Brother – but was kicked out of the reality show after six days, after hitting a woman with a belt.
