CEDAR LAKE, Indiana – Two people were aboard a helicopter that crashed into a lake in Indiana Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported that the Robinson R22 helicopter crashed at around 2:00 pm in Cedar Lake, Indiana.
Details about the conditions of the two people aboard the helicopter at the time of the crash were not immediately available.
The Hobart, Indiana, fire department said its scuba team was on standby after the accident.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
