Samuel Alberto Chapotin is one of two suspects who allegedly robbed and invaded a Hialeah home.
The 34-year-old man was arrested a month and a half after entering a residence located at 95 West and 56th Street in Hialeah, posing as a police officer with another subject who has not yet been identified, for which reason the Police continue to search for him.
For their part, the affected family prefers not to speak on camera for fear of reprisals, what they did say is that they did not know the two subjects and are hurt by what happened to them in their own home.
According to the authorities, inside the residence there were five victims who said off camera that they lived moments of terror and in addition to them there were children in the house.
The arrest report states that Chapotin and his alleged accomplice began ordering everyone inside the backyard to get on the ground. One of the victims tried to struggle with the defendant but the attacker overcame him by hitting him several times in the head.
Another of the people present had to give the suspects his wallet which contained 600 dollars, a cell phone was also stolen from one of the women who lives in the place.
The police assure that the subject who is still a fugitive approached another of the victims pointing a weapon at him and said: “I’m going to shoot you, policeman pal pizo, you know what we’re looking for.”
Fortunately, two of the victims managed to escape by running into the street to ask for help and the two subjects fled in a vehicle.
The uniformed woman managed to find the whereabouts of Chapotin through the license plate reading system that generated her name and a video from the Tik Tok social network where the defendant showed the same car in which he fled.
The family says the two men gained access to the house through a small driveway in the parking lot. Now the defendant remains in custody without bail and police say if they know the whereabouts of his accomplice to call the Miami-Dade County crime hotline.
