Hogwarts Legacy is now out in just under a month and it’s definitely one of the most anticipated releases of early 2023. After several delays and numerous gameplay videos presented over the past few months, Avalanche Software is now back to introduce us to the voice cast of Hogwarts Legacy and there are some great people there.
Simon Pegg will play the role of Headmaster of Hogwarts
And yes, it is the British actor known for his roles in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz or even Mission Impossible who will double the director of Hogwarts in Hogwarts Legacy. As a reminder, the game takes place long before the events of the Harry Potter books and films and the director is named Phineas Nigellus Black. The latter will be director until 1925 and the famous prisoner Sirius Black is one of his descendants.
If you thought you’d come across a Dumbledore bis, you missed it, because Phineas Nigellus Black is one of the most unpopular directors in the history of Hogwarts. Close to the Slytherin house and known for his selfishness and his bitterness, this director should not leave you indifferent throughout the story and we can trust Simon Pegg to embody him perfectly. Avalanche Software also unveiled another part of the game’s voice cast in detail:
- Your character (depending on the chosen gender): Sebastian Croft or Amelia Gething
- Matilda Weasley (Professor, Head of Gryffindor): Lesley Nicol
- Divination teacher Onai: Kandace Caine
- Satyavati Shah, the professor of astronomy: Sohm Kapila
- Everett Clopton (Ravenclaw student): Luke Youngblood
- Mahendra Pehlwaan (another Ravenclaw student): Asif Ali
- Nearly Headless Nick and the Sorting Hat: Jason Anthony
Hogwarts Legacy will be released on February 10 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, on April 4 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and finally on July 25 on Nintendo Switch.
