The minors had been wanted since Friday, after their mother confessed that she had thrown them into the river to end their lives.

According to reports, the father of the children was the one who recognized the corpses, which will now be transferred to the Posadas Judicial Morgue where the corresponding autopsy will be carried out to determine the causes of death.

The investigation began on Friday when some fishermen rescued a woman who was shipwrecked in the Paraná River.

When she was safe, she confessed that shortly before she had thrown her three-year-old and seven-year-old children into the water to kill them and that she had tried to take her own life.
