The province of Misiones is mobilized by a case that shocks the entire population. Two brothers, ages three and seven, were found dead in a difficult-to-access area of the Paraná River.
The minors had been wanted since Friday, after their mother confessed that she had thrown them into the river to end their lives.
2,000 meters from the place where they were thrown and last seen, the Naval Prefecture and the Misiones Police found the bodies of the missing brothers, according to the online media outlet Misiones.
According to reports, the father of the children was the one who recognized the corpses, which will now be transferred to the Posadas Judicial Morgue where the corresponding autopsy will be carried out to determine the causes of death.
The investigation began on Friday when some fishermen rescued a woman who was shipwrecked in the Paraná River.
When she was safe, she confessed that shortly before she had thrown her three-year-old and seven-year-old children into the water to kill them and that she had tried to take her own life.
