At least ten Fire Departments fought this Wednesday afternoon a fire in a bus yard and a litter bin on the border between the Buenos Aires districts of Berazategui and Florencio Varela, reported official sources. The troops made up the Hudson, Berazategui, Gutiérrez, Magdalena, Ensenada, Berisso, Quilmes, Bernal, San Francisco Solano, and Florencio Varela barracks. In addition, others of support from the towns of Almirante Brown and Lomas de Zamora, Ezeiza and Monte Grande joined.

“In the place there are buses without use and, apparently, the fire was intentional because they were throwing Molotov cocktails, according to the radio of the municipal monitoring center”said the spokesmen, and pointed out that “There are no injuries or evacuees”. According to sources from the Florencio Varela Volunteer Firefighters, “The entire terminal is on fire. The magnitude of the fire is great and it reached the trash can”. Hours later, it was managed to control.

The fire that consumed the depot of Misión Buenos Aires bus line 129, formerly Grupo Plaza and Río de La Plata, reached the Sein y Cia SA paper mill, adjacent to the site and located on Vergara and Touring Club streets, 10 kilometers from the center of Florencio Varela.

The entrance to the deposit is located on the Camino General Belgrano and Santa Sofía, on the border between the municipalities of Florencio Varela and Berazategui.

The company has bus routes that operate throughout Buenos Aires, including Quilmes, La Matanza, Avellaneda, Distrito Federal, Lomas De Zamora, Berazategui, Ensenada, Florencio Varela.
