The Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation announced the schedule of holidays for the year 2023 established by Decree No. 764, which bears the signature of President Alberto Fernández. The norm will be published next Tuesday in the Official Gazette and provides for next year 14 immovable holidays, 2 transferable and 3 for tourist purposes, which accounts for a total of 19 holidays.

As planned, then, next year will feature four extra-long weekends: from Saturday, February 18 to Tuesday, February 21 (for Carnival holidays), from Thursday, May 25 to Sunday, May 28 (for May Revolution Day), from Saturday, June 17 to Tuesday, June 20 (step to Immortality of General Martín Miguel de Güemes and General Manuel Belgrano) and from Friday 13 to Monday 16 October (for the Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity). The national authorities hope that these seguidillas will help boost the getaways and, with them, the growth of tourist activity in the country.
