"I'm going to do it in my time and if I feel like it"

Seidy The Girl has unleashed controversy once again on their networks, this time it was as a result of recent comments about their desire to go to Cuba to sing to his audience.

The singer responded to a follower who wrote to her in a comment: “If you feel like going and singing, go away.” but Díaz-Canel sings and shouts singao”.

“Why, because you feel like it. Because if I don’t do that I’m a communist. Gentlemen, get situated, we are in the United States. I respect your opinion, but if mine is not the same, why do I have to do what you tell me to do or what you want me to do,” the artist rebuked.

While speaking in Spanish and English he added: “I live in the United States, a free country (…) I’m going to do it in my own time if I feel like it, besides (…) I grew up in this country and I have never felt obliged to do something that I don’t want to do or that I don’t feel like doing. And if I feel it, then I’m going to do it and that’s it.”

Your response and the text you added in the description of your post, “freedom of expression”apparently not liked by several of his Cuban followers.

“You are free to say what you want, but remember that you also You are American because you and your family had to flee communism”; “If you go to Cuba you will be earning money from a dictatorship and playing by its rules. You wouldn’t dare shout that because by going there you are giving up that freedom you talk about. I am disappointed and I am unfollowing you”; “I don’t understand the reason for using your trip to Cuba for propaganda, knowing the pain of many of your fans,” some wrote.

Others supported her response and emphasized that there is nothing wrong with the fact that as a Cuban artist she wants to go to her country: “Being an artist is being a non-political artist, that little bit is only experienced by us Cubans, we are the only ones who get involved with shit, she is a singer.” and he is from Cuba and he wants to go visit his country like everyone else does, what is the problem”; “They keep talking bad about Cuba and they don’t want the artists to go but none of them had the courage to shout or throw a stone there.”

This week Seidy confessed that he would love to sing in Cuba for his audience and then heated up the networks with a photo showing his Cuban passport and asking a question: “A mulatica for Christmas in Havana?”.
