The dancers of the Auvergne company, La Vouivre and the musicians of the Percussions Claviers de Lyon join forces for a show. “Spring” questions death and guides us towards rebirth. A journey between shadow and light presented in preview at the Rampe d’Echirolles.

It is the first time that the artists of the The Wyvern Company a you Lyon Keyboard Percussion Quintet join their talent to invent a common and sensitive language that gave birth to this unique show. With Spring, these two artistic worlds engage in a dialogue to tell a universal story. That of life and death, like Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre or Hector Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique. Immediate boarding for a poetic journey that starts from nothingness to go towards the light.

Spring questions our Western vision of death

In the Western world, death is only an irreversible end while other cultures consider it as a simple stage of life. This is the message of this creation which, drawing its inspiration from mythology and macabre rites, has chosen to take the opposite route. The creation starts from nothingness, from darkness, to explore resilience, the metamorphosis that leads to joy and life. Spring describes this passage from darkness to light in a surprising musical game that confronts our joys and our fears. This extraordinary artistic encounter is served by a chiaroscuro scenography which makes it a work apart, a true ode to life.

Spring by the company of La Vouivre and the quintet of Percussions Claviers de Lyon, at the Echirolles ramp April 25 and Roanne theater April 29.
