To obtain it, you must locate a module of the organization, which may be the closest to your home or work, and request through the INE website or by calling 800 433 2000.

To do it online:

Enter the page of the Citizen Attention System.

You must select the federal entity in which you are, as well as a municipality and the module closest to you. If you are not sure which is the closest, according to the addresses, you can look for it on the interactive map provided by the INE, which you can consult here.

Next, the page will show you a drop-down menu so that you can now select the date and time that best suits you to go to the module, it will even show you the availability to make an appointment.

Once you have established the above parameters, click on the Reserve Schedule option.

For the second part of the registration, you must indicate the type of procedure you wish to carry out and the documents that you will present to carry it out.

In the Procedure to be carried out section, you must select Registration, which is reserved for citizens who want to register for the first time on the Electoral Roll and, therefore, have never obtained their voting card.

Next, choose the document that proves your nationality, which can be your birth certificate or some other that identifies you as a Mexican citizen.

Likewise, choose the identity document with a photograph that you will present, ranging from a passport, military service card, driver’s license or permit, through letter or even bring two witnesses to verify your identity. On the page you can find the complete list.
