The pain of going into exileforced by a violent and ruthless regime, moved the broadcaster Junior Morales to wish the awakening of the consciences of all Cubans to put an end to the dictatorship and undertake national reconstruction through a process of transitional justice.

“I am a mere mortal, but I wish with all my soul that these people realize their power and exterminate them forever. Assassins!”, said the radio and television presenter this Friday in a post of his social networks in which he once again showed his revulsion for institutionalized violence and abuse in Cuba.

Morales, who shared an emotional video in which he is seen saying goodbye before his mother’s tombstone -prior to his final departure from Cuba-, he reacted to the comments left on his social networks by “some scourges” that questioned the “sincerity” of his act.

“Maybe it will take time to come here where your remains are, but I leave you a big kiss. Maybe they won’t let me in here anymore, it can happen. But I’m going to take you with me. I miss you a lot, there is no one in the world like you, ”Morales said before the remains of his mother, who died of Covid more than a year ago in a hospital, without the necessary medicines or oxygen.

In the heartbreaking video (recorded in June, before leaving Cuba), the announcer was saddened by the possibility that the totalitarian regime – which he has frequently criticized on his social networks – would never let him enter Cuba again, and thus not being able to honor the memory of his mother before her grave.

“I am not surprised by the lack of sensitivity of that anti-Cuban government because just as they knew that my mother was in that hospital and they let her die, they have killed many, other innocent people are in prison dying alive like their mothers and families,” he said after seeing the attack received by the army of trolls of the regime.

Grief-stricken, the Cuban civil society announcer and activist expressed his desire and hope to see the people empowered, demanding accountability from the tyrants and their henchmen and hit men, to advance in the construction of a new democratic framework for coexistence .

In this sense, which implies a transitional justice process that reveals the true nature of the regime, Morales wished for the end of the dictatorship and a social learning of its history so that it never happens again.

In recent days, Morales sent a message to the Cuban people encouraging them to defend their dignity and embark on the path of freedom.

“Yes, because I love #Cuba, it hurts a lot. Dear people, defend your dignity and free yourself”, expressed on Facebook the former host of programs of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) before being expelled at the end of 2020 for his openly critical views of the regime.
