London.- Kate Middleton dazzled at Charles III’s coronation ceremony in an outfit designed by Alexander McQueen with flowers from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

According to the Daily Mail, the Princess of Wales also paid tribute to Diana with the jewelery she wore.

“The Princess of Wales looked radiant in a dazzling Alexander McQueen ivory crepe gown that featured silver bars and thread embroidered with motifs of roses, thistles, daffodils and shamrocks to represent each of the four nations.

“Instead of a tiara, Middleton wore a matching Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen headdress with silver bars, crystal and three-dimensional leaf embroidery with silver thread,” the e-journal reported.

The Princess has long chosen to dress Alexander McQueen for the important moments in her life.

The jewels she wore were a set of Diana’s pearl and diamond earrings, which she had already worn at the 2019 BAFTAs, also at a banquet for Japanese Emperor Akihito in 1990 and at a gala at the Palace of Versailles in 1994.

The necklace, which was one of Queen Elizabeth II’s favourites, consists of three rows resulting in rows of graduated stones, suspended between two triangles of diamonds.

Her 8-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, paired a version of her mother’s outfit with a cape from the same ensemble.

And while it was expected to be a stellar moment for Camila, she didn’t shine as expected, yet she still wore the iconic coronation necklace worn by Queen Elizabeth II when she was crowned in 1953, Page Six revealed.

The piece was designed by Garrard for Queen Victoria in 1858 and suspended with a spectacular 22.48-carat pendant known as the Lahore Diamond. The necklace has been worn by every queen at every coronation since.
