An official of the Major League Baseball (MLB) announced that Miami’s LoanDepot Park will once again host several games in the next edition of the World Baseball Classic (in 2026)including semi-final and final.

The source that communicated with the Mexican portal Pure Baseball speaking on condition of anonymity, he announced that the baseball event, so well received in the 2023 editionwill return to Miami to play his decisive matches.

Although their statements are not official, the site itself assures that “it is very likely that the MLB office will make the official announcement of the venues in the middle of this year.”

The other venues for the event will be: el Minuted Maid Park de Houston, a stadium that will host the competition for the first time. Meanwhile, come back Hiram Bithorn Sosa, from San Juan, Puerto Rico – after celebrating the first round in the first three editions, the last in 2013 -, and finally the Tokyo Dome, in the Japanese capital.

To date, 16 of the 20 teams that will participate have already been confirmed. The remaining four, which will come from Chinese Taipei, Nicaragua, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France, Pakistan, Germany, New Zealand, South Africa and Colombia, will be defined in a qualifying tournament next year in Tucson, Arizona.

LoanDepot Park is the official home of the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball.. It is located on the site of the former Miami Orange Bowl in Little Havana, about 2 miles (3 km) west of Downtown Miami.
