PARK TOWNSHIP, Michiganfireworks explosions in adjacent Michigan counties killed at least one woman and injured nine people ranging from critical to minor, authorities said.

The two explosions occurred 30 minutes apart and no more than 30 miles (48 kilometers) apart. The first was in Allegan County when a rampant trajectory projectile fired sideways into a group of onlookers, and the second in Park Township, where the blast killed a 43-year-old Dutch woman.

In Allegan, the July 3rd Jubilee fireworks display over the Kalamazoo River went down at around 10:30 p.m. when a mortar fired to the side and the shell fell on onlookers.

In Kansas City on Saturday night, firefighters responding to a suburban fire report found a warehouse with exploding fireworks and injured four people, two seriously.
