The Minister of Defense, Admiral René Francis Merino Monroy, toured the La Granjita fence in San Salvador as part of the security work carried out in phase 5 of the Territorial Control Plan.

The minister addressed more than 300 military personnel who remain in the area, providing security to encourage them in their work and to continue bringing peace of mind to the families that live in the La Granjita Community and its surroundings.

On his tour he also arrived at the San Antonio Abad parish, where dozens of people thanked the official for the reduction in homicides caused by gangs.

Inhabitants of La Granjita, showed gratitude to the troops that travel through the community to guarantee the security of the area

The La Granjita community has been surrounded by 100 police officers and 1,000 soldiers since December 24, together with the Tutunichapa community, as part of phase 5 of the territorial control plan.
