More than six million viewers tune in every Sunday at 8:15 p.m crime scene to watch on ARD.
Attention: This time the new episode does not air on Sunday, but on Monday, the second day after Christmas. The inspectors Franz Leitmayr (Udo Wachtveitl) and Ivo Batic (Miroslav Nemec) from Munich slip into completely new roles. In the episode “Murder under Mistletoe” they have to solve a case in England – and that in 1922!

Inspectors Leitmayr and Batic are invited to a murder mystery dinner by their colleagues. Both investigators slip into new roles: Franz Leitmayr becomes “Inspector Francis Lightmyer” and Ivo Batic becomes “Ivor Partrige”.
The case: In 1922 there was a murder in the mansion “Beckford Hall” in England. The butler is found dead on an oriental rug. It is now up to Lightmyer and Partige to solve the murder case.
There are a few people who could be the perpetrators: was it the resolute lady, the beguiling singer, the prudish vicar? Or could it even have been the maid or the doctor?
The two investigators quickly realize that the case cannot be solved that easily. Beckford Hall is surrounded by mysteries and lies that must be uncovered. As Leitmayr and Batic melt into their new roles, it becomes clear that there’s more at stake than just a murder mystery dinner…
