A badly damaged ship saved itself in the port of Emden on Tuesday morning. The vehicle had previously collided with an obstacle, the water police (WSPSt) in Oldenburg suspected. Further details could not be given at the moment. Investigators are puzzled about the cause.

According to the WSPSt, the “Petra L.” from Szczecin in Poland en route to the port of Antwerp in Belgium. On board: around 1,500 tons of grain. But the ship didn’t make it that far.
