“With his torso uncovered and several tattoos,” police sources detailed to this newspaper about the macabre discovery in the Region, which in recent hours has caused enormous commotion and mystery.
It is the body of a woman that was found yesterday on a canal near Avenida 66 and the coast of the Río de la Plata.
The lifeless body, and in a state of decomposition, was discovered by a neighbor who was walking in the area.
“An occasional passerby observed him who minutes later filed a complaint at the Second Police Station,” spokespersons for the event revealed.
Upon becoming aware of the horrifying case, the DDI, the Scientific Police and the Berisso Police Station intervened. For her part, Cecilia Corfield, head of UFI No. 15 in La Plata, ordered the autopsy operation to be carried out.
In this sense, the authorities provided details in this regard.
The death was about 600 meters from the river coast, and a little more than 15 blocks from Avenida Montevideo, the main one in Berisso.
It is a neighborhood of low houses, sparsely populated and close to a wetland area.
Logically, the appearance of this corpse caused consternation among the inhabitants of the area who did not come out of their astonishment.
As reported by the Berisso police authorities, the woman’s body was floating among the sewage, which led to a large operation.
It should be noted that during the maneuvers to rescue the death, the Civil Defense guard personnel, together with Volunteer Firefighters, used rescue ropes and a kayak-type boat.
Although it has not yet been identified, the Scientific Police experts reported that it has some tattoos that could be used for recognition.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, an investigation is being carried out to find out if there are previous reports of disappearance of people that help to identify them.

Hours after the terrible discovery, the details of the autopsy on the corpse came to light and were revealed.
According to what this newspaper was able to collect, the report initially revealed that the woman has been dead for approximately 10 days.
It was also confirmed that his death was caused by suffocation by submersion, that is, he drowned.
Another key fact that sets the course of the investigation is that the body on its entire surface does not have signs of violence. All this was revealed after the autopsy carried out in the La Plata judicial morgue.
For these hours the authorities continue with the corresponding skills with the aim of elucidating the identity of the deceased person. “Some tattoos that could be used for recognition,” they detailed.
Finally, it should be noted that, at the moment, the cause was labeled in this case as “investigation of causes of death.”
