DAfter several warnings that it planned to prevent account sharing between users of its service, Netflix began to apply this measure in February in several countries – including Portugal.

Now, regarding the sharing of the company’s financial results for the first quarter of 2023, Netflix said that “is satisfied” with how this initiative has been received. Furthermore, the company emphasizes that the measure helped Canada to increase the subscriber base and that this is “growing faster than the US”.

Remember that Netflix users who live far from family members can remain associated with the family account, as long as they pay a fee of 3.99 euros. says the The Verge website that, by July, Netflix intends to start preventing account sharing in more territories where it is present.

Netflix also announced that, in the first quarter of 2023, it added 1.75 million subscribers and that it now has a total of 232.5 million subscribers globally.
